Hipmunk Releases 2nd Annual Summer Vacation Rental Analysis

Are people using short-term rentals rather than hotels for their summer getaways? A study released by Hipmunk suggests vacationers are more likely to choose a vacation rental rather than a hotel in key areas surrounding booming tech hubs, popular coastal areas, and college towns. The study proposes that vacation rentals are taking the place of hotels in these markets because they save visitors money and provide access to locations where there is an absence of or very few hotel rooms available.
